Welcome to my minuscule portion of the “interwebs” where I plan to share my thoughts on all the things…well the things I’m actually passionate about.
But even more than that, my prayer as you travel down each written line, curve around every comma, pause at every period that you leave these words taking a big breath and exhaling with new hope for the days and weeks to come.
Who is Senecca?
I’m a creative with many dashes…screenwriter – poet/spoken word artist – voice actor. All of these hats of creativity have provided lessons about myself, others, and our approach the highs and hardships of life.
I’ll share more of my learnings and observations in the weeks to come. In the meantime, here are some fun facts about ya girl.
1. I’m an introvert (like 99% on every assessment kind of introvert) with an extrovert lifestyle. You know the friend that “rolls through” the event has a good time then disappears, that’s me.
2. I didn’t like my name as a child because it was mispronounced so often.
3. My love for words + writing started early. I wrote my first short story in 3rd grade, first poem in 5th and both were submitted into competitions.
4. I was an only child for 12 years.
5. There were no plans for marriage or children…now married 16 years and two babies later. Well played God, well played.
6. Travel + Food are my love languages. I know they’re not in the book, but they should be!
7. I can’t binge watch. I really don’t know how ya’ll do it. You get 1.5 episodes max!
8. I prefer nights over mornings…all my ideas come in when most are going to bed.
9. The Lord and I are still working on my facial expressions. “What my face say?” is a question my friends hear often.
10. “Do it scared” are three words that push me daily.
